Workshops: How many times have you attended a conference and been totally confused from the moment the expert panelists open their mouths? Us, too. That’s why we have short workshops throughout the event to make sure you understand the fundamentals, basics and terminology the experts throw around in their panel discussions. After these brief refresher courses, you’ll feel confident and prepared to ask great questions of the experts and get the most out of the panels and group discussions.

Panels: You will be amazed at the wealth of knowledge of these expert panelists. Panels feature professionals from every corner of the music business, because when you put them all together, the many points of view combine to give us a more complete picture of the topics being discussed.

Getting Your Music Into Film & TV - Film and Television placements are a growing source of income and exposure for independent artists, songwriters and publishers. Innovative Music Business Visionaries “Whats Next?” - Where are we going? Where have we been? This expert panel is comprised of noted visionaries in the fields of education, copyright protection, and technology. What will the music business look like in 5 years? 20 years? And how can we be proactive today to meet the needs of tomorrow’s original music industry?

Songwriting - Commercial Writing and Self Expression - Does it have to be a choice between writing for a commercial market and writing for self expression? Hear the thoughts of professional songwriters and music publishers about the challenge of writing from the heart and for the dollar.

Listening Sessions: Get honest, constructive feedback on your original songs. Evaluators are professional songwriters, publishers, film & TV, and A&R who will offer advice for improvement or placement opportunities for your tunes. Be prepared with a CD or iPod and two lyric sheets for your evaluators.

Mini Q&A Sessions: Throughout the conference, we will have special 30 minute question and answer sessions in breakout rooms with industry pros so that you can hear lots of points of view on the topics we’re discussing. Classic hit songwriters, affiliated industry talks, and music business experts share their knowledge with us in these special breakout sessions.
